Seatbelts save lives as minibus turns over
There was a major emergency just outside Highworth this morning when a minibus collided with two cars near the Freke Arms public house.
The incident caused the B4019 Highworth to Blunsdon road to be blocked for over three hours while ambulance services, the fire brigade and the police attended the scene to help those injured in the crash.

In all, six people were taken to the Great Western hospital - one via the Air Ambulance - suffering minor lacerations, whiplash injuries and shock.
None, thankfully, are reported to be in a serious condition.

The accident happened at approximately 8.15am and comes just two weeks after a serious collision on the same road causing a local Highworth policeman to lose a leg and possibly an arm.
PC Martin Miles is still in intensive care at GWH following the crash on 22 February. The police are still appealing for witnesses.
